Aldo's sculptural objects in bronze, stone, urushi lacquer, and crystal are built from principles inspired by organic forms and movements that defy time, zeitgeist, functionality, and purpose. Nominally, this series refers to Arthur Schnitzler's, Reigen, a late 19th-century German play centered on themes of sexual morality. Bakker invokes these themes through the crystal by designing them with the ability to stack and pair the tumblers in a variety of pairings. Three tumblers can be matched/stacked, resulting in 18 combinations in total while also being able to be independent, stand-alone tumblers.
Next to his independent studio production Bakker has also created commissioned works for other companies like Georg Jensen, Karakter, Puiforcat, Sèvres, and Swarovski. His work can be found in museums and galleries around the globe.
