Description
The Solsticio series of sculptural lights by Héctor Esrawe results from the artist's ongoing exploration of light and shadows in space. Composed of slender metal pieces assembled in a radial configuration, the interlocked pieces fragment the light they emanate, casting their spectrum outward in multiple directions. The resulting piece is a sculptural composition where light and its own shadow become one ensemble, sectioned and shaped by the materiality and configuration of its own structure.
