On the theme of games, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, winner of Design Parade 2011, imagined a family of seven culbutos entitled Grisgris. Falling between a memory of childhood and the precious object, these small grigris are ballasted in their base to ensure their functionality and have integrated into the process of their manufacture a new technology: water jet cutting. Fastrez sought to combine traditional, manual know-how and more contemporary industrial processes.
Its other elements are achieved thanks to the traditional techniques of Sèvres including painting and gilding with 24-carat gold. The assembly workshop was responsible for the assembly of the various elements and the customized adaptation of the base in gilded bronze.
