Description

A work of cultural confluence, bringing together Kyoto's legacy of fine wood-crafting and contemporary Western design, the Ki-Oke stool results from the collaboration between Danish design studio OeO and seventh-generation Japanese master-wood crafter Nakagawa Mokkougei. The stool is available in Japanese cypress (Sawara) and in a limited edition made of 2000-year-old lignified cedar wood from Kyoto (Jindai-Sugi). The wood was originally used for buckets that stored rice and miso, as well as bathing rituals.
