Beakers like the 'Ranftbecher' were a typical gift in the Viennese Biedermeier period (1815-1848). Thus, they were among the first pieces Josef Lobmeyr created for his Lobmeyr glass shop in Vienna. Second generation Stefan Rath developed a complete series in 1925. This beaker is the last remaining piece from the services still in production.
