The Cosmati collection honors the cultural heritage of Italian mosaic artists and their way of laying bright and precious tiles on a bed of cement. The series transposes these effects, silk for the precious and luminous and wool for the cement bed that hosts them.
The noted designer Charles Zana, trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, collaborated with Diurne to create five rugs that merge contemporary design with the craftsmanship legacy of mosaic arts.
