Since 2002, founder Oyuna Tserendorj has undertaken the mission to bridge the finest cashmere-weaving traditions of her native country to the world of the present day, with a modern and elegant textile collection that employs a contemporary palette of colors and designs.
Oyuna has gained worldwide recognition for its unique identity as both a purveyor of contemporary cashmere design and a stalwart against the disruption of traditional herding practices.
Tserendorj simultaneously preserves and adapts Mongolia’s time-honored craftsmanship practices, adapting environmentally sustainable practices to traditional techniques of cashmere production and to the way of life of Mongolian nomads. With Oyuna, Les Ateliers Courbet is pleased to present the ethos, the work and cultural heritage of these nomadic herders and cashmere weavers.
Oyuna Tserendorj’s world-traveled eye and creativity is evident in her modern and daring color palette, as well as the finely-soft, yet substantial hand of the weaves.
