Marcel Zelmanovitch, the designer of Diurne rugs, has always been drawn to abstraction. This penchant translates both in his paintings and his textile creations. The Abstraction Brute series re-interprets works from the French Abstract and Brutalist Art movements of the 1950s, with inspiration drawn from the work of Pierre Soulages, among others.
