Lara Bohinc
Slovenian-born, London-based designer, Lara Bohinc founded Bohinc studio in 2016. She has since grown a cohesive body of work with a recognizable vocabulary evolving around planetary and astrology references. Her designs often feature taut, slender lines with feminine curves. The designer collaborates with European artisans from Portugal and Italy, combining contemporary fabrication processes with time-honored techniques.
A graduate of the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts in Slovenia, Bohinc later pursued a MA in Metalwork and Jewellery at the Royal College of Art in London. She then won the British Fashion Council’s New Generation Award and launched her own studio.
Bohinc’s body of work embodies the designer’s industrial design background through its deconstructed or juxtaposed geometric forms, while reflecting her ongoing interest in traditional artisanship with elegant details and noble materials.
