VESU VASE

Traditionally hand-crafted by the Viennese silversmiths, Hadid's two vases express a powerful dynamic through their intricate surface complexity. Informed by the volcanic forces of expansion and compression that have generated the subtle fluctuations and distortions of ripples enveloping the surface, the vase's sculptural forms convey a characteristic solidity, yet reveal their original fluid state. The reflective materiality amplifies this perception, adding depth and complexity derived from the colors and light of their context. The vase translates the inherent beauty of natural systems through the exploration of the creation of geological forms. Wiener Silber Manufactur uses a special alloy that contains 94% by mass of silver (Sterling silver, by comparison, only contains 92.5% of silver). The high value of raw materials ensures that the product value will increase over the years. In addition, the silverware is exceptionally easy to clean, since it is dishwasher-proof and extremely resistant to tarnishing.
